Matthäus: Bayern will be ready to pay at least €100 million for Leroy Sané

Lothar Matthäus believes Bayern München will be ready to pay an amount in the three-digit million range to sign Leroy Sané if he wants to come to Allianz Arena.
Lothar Matthäus feels confident Bayern München will be willing to pay at least €100 million for Leroy Sané if the Manchester City winger wants to make the switch to Allianz Arena.

"I don't think this transfer will fail because of a few million euros. If the player gives the Bayern bosses the signal that he wants to join them, I'm sure that the club will be ready to pay an amount in the three-digit million range," the former German international wrote in a column for Sky and added:

"Bayern will have to strengthen offensively if they want to be internationally successful. And for this purpose, this transfer would be a great signal. And a little bit more quality simply costs a few million more."

Manchester City paid €50.5 million to sign Sané from Schalke 04 in 2016.
