It has been a month since it was announced that Max Kruse will leave Werder Bremen on a free transfer this summer – and the 31-year-old still hasn't found a new club.

According to Bild, Kruse's reported wage demands of around €6 million a year seems to have scared off potential employers.

Eintracht Frankfurt were linked with Kruse, but 'Die Adler' can't offer him the salary he demands. Liverpool would be able to do so, but have dropped their interest in the striker, as per the report.

Meanwhile, Kruse has initially brushed off interest from Turkish side Fenerbahce who may have started looking for other options.

Kruse scored 12 goals and made 14 assists in 36 appearances for Werder Bremen in the 2018/19 season
