Benjamin Henrichs hasn't played for Germany since 2017, but hasn't given up hope of getting called up for this year's European Championship.

Speaking in an interview with SID, the Monaco full-back said:

"I think I have a chance of getting called up for the Euros, although I know that it's not easy.

"I'm trying to do my best here at Monaco, so I can go to the European Championship."

Henrichs last spoke with Germany coach Joachim Löw after he played at the European Under-21 Championship in 2019.

"He told me that I made a good impression of myself and that I should continue to play like that at my club," Henrichs said.

The former Leverkusen player has made 13 appearances for Monaco this season.
