Jerome Boateng to miss Bayern's Club World Cup final for personal reasons
Bayern München will be without Jerome Boateng for their Club World Cup clash with Tigres after the 32-year-old's ex-girlfriend was found dead in Berlin on Tuesday.
Jerome Boateng will not be available for Bayern München's Club World Cup final against Tigres in Qatar on Thursday due to personal reasons.
The centre-back has traveled to Munich after his former girlfriend Kasia Lenhardt was found dead in Berlin yesterday.
"The news from Berlin hurt us very much," said FC Bayern coach Hansi Flick at a press conference on Wednesday.
"Jerome asked me to let him travel back to Germany, and we have granted him permission to do so. He will not be available to us until further notice."
