Eintracht Frankfurt revived their chance of making it into the quarter-final of the inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup with a comeback win over PSV.

PSV scored the opening goal in the 21st minute through the 20-year-old Lore Jacobs. The midfielder capitalized on Lina Altenburg’s unconvincing save from Nina Nijstad’s effort. Frankfurt lacked efficiency in the final third without Nicole Anyomi, who didn’t travel with the squad due to illness

Niko Arnautis makes a half-time substitution with Kosovan international Ereleta Memeti replacing Hayley Raso, who was the only player to be cautioned in the first-half. However, it was another substitute who scored the goal that won it for the visitors.

Remina Chiba scored the winner for Frankfurt in the 90th minute, five minutes after the captain, Laura Freigang, levelled the score. Another substitute, Jarne Teulings, was instrumental in both goals.

Having lost to Ajax with a comical injury-time own-goal, PSV conceded yet another late goal that could decide the tie in favor of the Frauen-Bundesliga side. Frankfurt will host the second-leg next Thursday as they aim for a place in the quarter-finals.
