According to a report from Sky Germany, FC Schalke 04 coach Miron Muslic is a big fan of SC Paderborn talent Mika Baur.

However, Baur who just achieved promotion to the Bundesliga has seemingly attracted interest from other German topflight clubs.

The pay-TV channel suggests that, in addition to Werder Bremen, which had already been linked with him, FSV Mainz is also a contender.

VfL Wolfsburg, who were relegated in the play-off by Paderborn to the second division, has withdrawn from the race for the winger.

Further talks are now expected to clarify the future of Baur, but it seems unlikely that Paderborn will be able to retain the 21-year-old.

Baur's contract only runs until 2027, therefore a transfer fee of around €3million is being discussed for the German U-21 international.
