Union Berlin face a tricky task when they travel to Munich to take on Bayern in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Bayern have been in excellent form of late, beating Bochum 5-0 and Mainz 4-0 in their last two games.

And speaking at his pre-match press conference, Bo Svensson said he's well aware that a lot needs to go Union's way if they are to take anything back to Berlin.

"You need a mixture of many components," explained the 45-year-old Union Berlin coach.

"You need a course of play that suits you, you need luck in some situations, and you need to have a great day yourself," he said, describing Bayern's tactical development under Vincent Kompany as "impressive".

Union are coming off a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the hands of Arminia Bielefeld in the DFB-Pokal, but Svensson isn't worried that the result will have too many consequences.

“Of course it was a bitter pill to swallow on Wednesday. But we had a lot of good games before that. Has it all gone away because of one game? I don't think so.”
