Leading 3-1, Eintracht Frankfurt were on their way to a comfortable Europa League win over Viktoria Plzen on Thursday night, but two late goals forced them to settle for a draw.

Frankfurt goalkeeper Kaua Santos, filling in for the injured Kevin Trapp, didn't look good on either occasion.

When Plzen scored a 3-3 equaliser in stoppage time, the Brazilian goalkeeper wasn't there to cover the net after being knocked down in a goalmouth scramble.

"It was a slapstick goal. But that's the way he plays," said Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller in a post-match interview.

"In the end, it might not have been the best decision, but it's a learning process for him as well, and it shows that not everything goes the way you want it to."

“It was also a bit of a damper for him today and now it's about showing a good reaction.”

Next up for Kaua Santos and Eintracht is Sunday's match against Holstein Kiel.
