As Eintracht Frankfurt prepare to face Atalanta on Wednesday night, Dino Toppmöller gave a largely positive update on his squad personnel.

"We're hoping Can Uzun will return to training by the end of next week. He could be an option for the squad again at the earliest against Leipzig.

"Elias Baum missed training today due to a stomach bug. We'll see how things look tomorrow.

“Oscar Højlund returned to training today, so we'll have to assess whether he'll be back in the squad tomorrow,” he said at his press conference.

Toppmöller explained why Rasmus Kristensen was rested in their 4-3 win over 1.FC Köln and what to expect from their Italian visitors.

"We felt that the match in Cologne was the right time for Rasmus Kristensen to take a break. He'll certainly be a candidate for the starting eleven tomorrow with renewed energy.

“I think it's a 50/50 game and therefore very open. Atalanta plays very defensively in the Champions League.

They've had their problems in the league and changed coaches after many years. But despite everything, they're a very good and robust team, and we know what to expect," he added.
