About a week ago, Sport1 reported that Oscar Bobb’s move from Manchester City to Borussia Dortmund on loan with an option to buy was imminent.
However, the deal has yet to be finalized, and Sport Bild now claims to know why it has stalled – and suggests it may not happen at all.
According to the German sports magazine, Dortmund have put the signing of the 22-year-old winger on hold for financial reasons.
The total package required to secure Bobb permanently – including the transfer fee, salary and agent fees – would amount to €70 million, which the club considers too expensive.
As a result, it's currently highly uncertain if the Norwegian international will make the move to Signal Iduna Park.
