When Germany face Paraguay in the World Cup round of 32 on Monday night, they will wear their white home shirt.

However, Julian Nagelsmann’s side will not pair it with their usual black shorts, as they did against Curaçao and Côte d’Ivoire in the group stage.

Instead, Germany will play with white shorts in their first World Cup knockout match since winning the 2014 final.

The change was made because Germany's black shorts would not provide sufficient contrast with Paraguay’s all-dark navy kit.

Germany’s round of 32 match against Paraguay at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough kicks off at 22:30 CEST.
