Xhaka on Bayern's interest in Tah: "He knows we won the league last season"

Jonathan Tah has been linked with Bayern Munich for weeks, but a deal with Bayer Leverkusen has yet to materialize as the two clubs struggle to agree on a fee. 

Tah's teammate Granit Xhaka has now shared his thoughts on the speculation, expressing his hope that the centre-back will stay. 

“Everyone knows that Bayern is a very big club. And big clubs want the biggest players. That's why it should be considered an honor for Jonathan," Xhaka told Bild. 

"We know what he means for our team. He also knows where Leverkusen are today. He knows that we won the league last year as well. 

“It's his decision. We want to keep ‘Jona’. He makes a great impression, his mind is not anywhere else. He is very focused. Just like I saw him last season. Of course we all hope that he stays with us.”
