Zetterer dismisses exit links

Werder Bremen goalkeeper Michael Zetterer has made it clear that he's not going anywhere this summer.

Michael Zetterer has committed himself to Werder Bremen ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Reports have linked the goalkeeper with a move away from the Weserstadion, but the 29-year-old has now made it clear once and for all that he has no plans of leaving.

"I can definitely rule that out," Zetterer told reporters on Wednesday.

“I extended my contract early to set an example. To show that I still have plans here.

“You often get in touch with clubs or there are talks. I quickly realized that I wanted to stay here.

"When I extended my contract, it was clearly stated that a transfer was possible if a top offer came in for both sides. But that was never a topic for me this summer. My job is clearly here and I'm looking forward to the season.”

Zetterer extended his contract with Werder until 2027 in May.
