Vincent Kompany has made an excellent start to his tenure as Bayern Munich coach, winning all of his matches in charge so far.

In fact, after four games, his Bayern side have made a better start to the Bundesliga season than any other club in history.

Bayern have 12 points and a goal difference of 16-3, surpassing the 2016/17 season when the Bavarians had the same number of points and a goal difference of 14-1 after four games.

After beating Wolfsburg 3-2 and Freiburg 2-0, Bayern have won their last two games in extremely comfortable fashion, thrashing Holstein Kiel 6-1 and Werder Bremen 5-0, both away from home.

Kompany's biggest test yet will come on Saturday when Bayern welcome defending champions Bayer Leverkusen to the Allianz Arena.
