Bayern Munich can welcome Dayot Upamecano back from international duty earlier than expected.
The centre-back was sent off in France's 2-1 win over Brazil on Thursday and is suspended for the upcoming friendly against Colombia.
As a result, France coach Didier Deschamps has allowed Upamecano to return to his club.
“I will release him,” Deschamps confirmed to L’Equipe.
This gives the defender the opportunity to rest ahead of Bayern’s challenging schedule, which includes two Champions League quarter-final matches against Real Madrid.
