Report: Dortmund agree personal terms with Man City defender

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester City defender Yan Couto.

Manchester City's Yan Couto has reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund, according to Sky Germany.

However, it remains to be seen if a deal can be struck between the two clubs, with the report claiming that Manchester City are currently demanding too high a fee.

With Couto having one year left on his contract with Man City, the Black and Yellows are said to be willing to put €20 million on the table for him.

The 22-year-old Brazilian right-back has spent the last two seasons on loan at Girona in Spain. He made 34 appearances for the club last season, scoring once and providing 10 assists.

Dortmund are looking to sign at least one full-back for the upcoming season. Assuming that left-backs Ramy Bensebaini and Tom Rothe stay put, there is a particular need at right-back, where Julian Ryerson is currently the only natural option.

The Black and Yellows were previously linked with Ferdi Kadioglu, but are said to have cooled their interest due to Fenerbahce's €30 million asking price.
