VfL Wolfsburg centre-back Denis Vavro is considering a move away from the club during the winter transfer window, according to WAZ/AZ.

Vavro was a key figure in Wolfsburg’s defence last season until the 29-year-old was set back by a muscle injury, and he has struggled to re-establish himself as a regular starter since returning.

As a result, Vavro is said to be weighing up his options, with regular playing time a priority ahead of Slovakia’s upcoming World Cup play-offs.

The report adds that Vavro has attracted interest from Italy, with both AS Roma and Fiorentina monitoring the former FC Copenhagen defender.

Vavro remains under contract with Die Wölfe until 2027.
