Following Lennart Karl's shock injury which was announced on Friday, Guido della Rovere could be set for his first team debut soon, according to BILD.

The attacking midfielder is being scouted by several Italian and German clubs, but has already trained with the first team several times in recent months.

Della Rovere wants to be in Bayern's squad more frequently and eventually make his first few professional appearances.

With suggestions circulating yesterday that Vincent Kompany could rotate heavily against FC St. Pauli, the 18-year-old could make the bench.

As for Karl, former German international Michael Ballack gave an update on the youngster on DAZN at the Augsburg vs. Hoffenheim game.

“Lennart will be out for three weeks, more or less. A typical muscle strain. It's always difficult to say exactly because it's very individual.

“It also depends on how it happened and how the recovery goes. You can't know exactly, but you can roughly estimate it,” Ballack added.
