Bayer Leverkusen are apparently closing in on the signing of VfL Bochum defender Tim Oermann.

According to Sky Germany, Die Werkself have reached an agreement in principle with the 21-year-old.

The two clubs are yet to reach an agreement on a transfer fee, but a deal is considered likely.

Oermann has emerged as a key figure for Bochum this season, making 26 appearances across all competitions.

Primarily deployed as a centre-back, he is also comfortable playing at right-back.
