Bayer Leverkusen are considering a possible signing of left-back Pep Chavarría as their replacement for Alejandro Grimaldo.

Matteo Moretto reports on 'Radio Marca' that the Bundesliga club have inquired with Rayo Vallecano about the transfer fee.

Chavarría is under contract with the La Liga club from Madrid until 2030, and also has a release clause worth €25million.

However, it's conceivable that the Rhineland outfit would be willing to negotiate the price freely if the opportunity arises.

Besides Leverkusen, Premier League sides Nottingham Forest and Brentford are also said to have their eye on Chavarría.

Another candidate is Raphaël Guerreiro who will be available on a free transfer after his contract with Bayern Munich expires.
