Nagelsmann lauds debutant Bischof: "He's a great youngster"

Bayern's new man made an impressive bow in international football for Die Mannschaft which earned him high praise.

Germany's UEFA Nations League finals campaign didn't pan out as planned, but there was one bright spark amongst the disappointment.

Head coach Julian Nagelsmann took time to heap the praise on 19-year-old debutant Tom Bischof who stood out against France.

“He's a great youngster and a very, very good character. I hope he keeps that up going forward.

"Of course, there are significantly more influences in all areas of life there [in Munich]. I hope he maintains that normal, down-to-earth mentality.

"He brings a lot to the table and is a very, very fine footballer. Of course, he still has some progress to make. But after the week of training, he deserved his debut.

“My sincere wish is that he stays as normal as possible. Then he has a big chance of a good career," Nagelsmann added.
