Report: Leroy Sané playing for his Bayern future

Sport Bild is reporting that Leroy Sané needs to prove himself at Bayern this season to show that he has a future at the club.
Leroy Sané is fighting to prove that he has a future at Bayern München, according to Sport Bild.

Per the publication, "everyone" at the Bavarian club is aware that the German international is at a "crossroads". Since Sané hasn't been able to live up to the expectations following his €60 million switch from Manchester City two years ago, this season is decisive for the 26-year-old.

Sané is said to have his doubters at the club due to his inconsistent performances, lack of communication and mentality.

Board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic, however, remains confident that Sané will make his mark at Allianz Arena, with Sport Bild claiming that the Bayern boss came into the dressing room to praise the winger after he came on to score a great solo goal in the Supercup win over Leipzig towards the end of July.

"I always want to see the anger from you that you showed on the pitch tonight. If you always play with this determination, you can become the best player in Europe," Salihamidzic allegedly told Sané.

Sané has three years left on his contract with the Bavarians.
