In response, Manuel Neuer stated, “In no way does it fit with our world view. It’s unacceptable and very sad to hear such a thing.”
The star keeper will wear the One-Love armband in Qatar and added, “We hope of course that through the One-Love armband we can show a lot of strength together with other nations.”
Leon Goretzka shared that, "It's very oppressive. This gives a human image from another millennium, it's not what we stand for and not what we set an example for. It's absolutely unacceptable to make such a statement."
Bayern's ultra section held up a sign on Matchday 14 that read, "Damaged minds! F*** you Khalid & co."
