According to Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan have opted not to pull a €12 million purchase option on VfL Wolfsburg midfielder Aster Vranckx. Romano notes that a sketchy relationship with VfL trainer Niko Kovac nevertheless means that Vranckx is likely headed back out soon.

Romano doesn't cite any specific potential destination for Vranckx, but it remains possible that several clubs will be interested in procuring the talented youngster. Although he made just nine appearances (registering one assist) with his Serie A side, Vranckx maintains an estimated market worth of €8.5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
