Report: Okugawa in Augsburg for medical

The local Augsburger Allgemeine Nachrichten reports that FC Augsburg are on the verge of signing Japanese midfielder Masaya Okugawa.
Seemingly destined for a return to a top-tier side after DSC Arminia Bielefeld's relegation, it appears as if Masaya Okugawa will suit up for FC Augsburg next season. The local "Augsburger Allgemeine" Zeitung reports that the 27-year-old is in Germany's "Fuggerstadt" for a medical. The versatile attacker will sign a three-year-contract upon its completion.

Okugawa scored five goals and added a further ten assists for his East Westphalian club in the just-completed campaign. Bielefeld's relegation automatically released the midfielder from his contract and will enable him to join the FCA on a free. With an estimated market worth of €2.5 million, Okugawa is the most valuable player on the DSC's roster.
