Kicker Report: Stach's move to Hoffenheim collapses

Mainz sporting CEO Christian Heidel has informed Germany's Kicker Magazine that the deal to send German international Anton Stach to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is off the table.
Despite the player himself lodging a transfer request, it looks as if Anton Stach's move to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim isn't happening. Germany's preeminent footballing publication, Kicker Magazine, cites FSV Mainz 05 sporting director Christian Heidel himself as claiming that the two sides are simply too far apart on a transfer fee.

Mainz were reported to be demanding upwards of €15 million for the versatile midfielder. While further haggling certainly remains possible, Heidel's firm statement to Kicker suggests that the club executive considers the matter closed. Heidel is quoted as saying that the Rheinhessen "will continue to  contest the season with the current squad.
