Gladbach extend Elvedi deal

Borussia Mönchengladbach has extended the contract of Nico Elvedi until 2027.
Nico Elvedi considered a move away from Borussia-Park over the summer, but ultimately decided to stay.

Now his contract has been extended from 2024 to 2027, Borussia Mönchengladbach have announced.

"Nico is one of the most experienced players in our squad and has been an absolutely reliable player for years," said Roland Virkus, Borussia's managing director for sport.

"We are very pleased that the open and honest dialogue we have had with Nico over the last few months has now resulted in this contract extension. It says a lot about his character and his commitment to Borussia."

Elvedi, who has played for Die Fohlen since 2015, commented:

"I got my chance here as a 19-year-old and have been able to develop into an experienced Bundesliga and also national team player. Now I want to help lead the way and continue to navigate the upheaval."
