Werder boss opens door for Borré to leave in January

Werder Bremen boss Clemens Fritz has opened the door for Rafael Borré to leave the club in January amid reports linking the on-loan Eintracht Frankfurt striker with Internacional.
After just four months at Werder Bremen on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt, Rafael Borré looks set to leave the club to join Brazilian side Internacional, with whom he's reportedly agreed personal terms.

And Borré could indeed leave Werder Bremen in January, the club's head of first-team football Clemens Fritz confirmed on Tuesday - but only if the price is right.

"Of course, a situation could arise where it becomes lucrative for Frankfurt, if it becomes lucrative for us, that we have to think about it. But we're not at that point yet," Fritz said, according to DPA.

Given the situation, Werder are now "keeping an eye on the striker market," Fritz said.

"It would be very negligent if we didn't keep an eye on this position," he stressed.

However, Fritz also emphasized that Werder would prefer to keep Borré, saying he is "a very important player for us, who has made a great contribution here."
