Sky Report: Werner set for loan-out to Spurs

Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig and Tottenham are in the final stages of negotiating a spring loan for striker Timo Werner.
It looks to be the case that German striker Timo Werner will get his sought-after loan back to the Isle after all. According to Sky Germany, the 27-year-old is headed back to London for a six-month loan-out to Tottenham Hotspur. Amid competition from Loïs Openda, Yussuf Poulsen, and Benjamin Sekso, Werner currently sits in fourth place on RB trainer Marco Rose's depth chart.

The left-lane striker has been limited to just 13 appearances (three starts) this season. Werner has scored two goals this season. Parking him out on loan nevertheless proves problematic as the former German international is rumored to draw a salary of roughly €10 million annually. The North London side presumably has the financial means to pick up Werner's wages in the short-term.
