While the deadline for German clubs to acquire new players for the second half of the current season has long since passed, some players may still be shipped out to other countries in which the transfer window remains open. Sky Germany reports that FC Bayern München may take advantage of the extended deadline in nearby Austria and loan out defensive prospect Frans Krätzig.

The 21-year-old natural left-back has made seven appearances for Thomas Tuchel's FCB senior side across all competitions this season. Krätzig netted a goal off the bench in Bayern's opening DFB-Pokal Round victory against Preußen Münster, yet struggled in an advanced midfield deployment during his lone start under Tuchel; Bayern's defeat to Saarbrücken in the second round of the domestic cup.

Even with left-back Alphonso Davies' recent form and injury issues, Krätzig remains behind Raphaël Guerreiro on Tuchel's depth chart. Newly-acquired fullback Sacha Boey can also play on the left. Sky reports that Bayern are in talks with FK Austria Wien (Austria Vienna) over a six-month loan arrangement. The two clubs have until tomorrow to reach an agreement.
