Report: Omlin to return to the Gladbach goal against Freiburg

Bild reports that Jonas Omlin will return to Gladbach's starting lineup against Freiburg at the expense of Moritz Nicolas after working his way back from a long-term injury.
Borussia Mönchengladbach were dealt a major injury blow just a few games into the season when captain and first-choice goalkeeper Jonas Omlin suffered a long-term shoulder injury.

Bild now reports that Omlin is finally ready to return to the starting lineup for Gladbach's next match against Freiburg (March 30) at the expense of Moritz Nicolas, who has been filling in for him.

The 30-year-old made his comeback in the 2-0 friendly win over KAS Eupen and no longer has any problems with his shoulder.

"Jonas is our captain. In the friendly against Eupen you could see that he has a natural authority, he's an international player," said Gladbach coach Gerardo Seoane after the game.

"It is not only about the quality of the goalkeeper, but also about his personality."
