Kaiserslautern reach DFB-Pokal final as Saarbrücken's sensational cup campaign comes to an end
2. Bundesliga outfit 1. FC Kaiserslautern advanced to the DFB-Pokal final with a 2-0 victory over giant-killers Saarbrücken on Tuesday night.

After eliminating Bundesliga sides Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach, Saarbrücken couldn't get past Kaiserslautern, who won 2-0 at the Ludwigspark Stadion.
After a goalless first half, Marlon Ritter opened the scoring in the 65th minute after a mistake by Saarbrücken goalkeeper Tim Schreiber, who let the Kaiserslautern player's header slip through his legs.
The visitors made it 2-0 in the 78th minute when Almamy Touré headed home from a set-piece, effectively putting the game to bed, although Kai Brünker came close to pulling a goal back for Saarbrücken later on.
Kaiserslautern will face the winner of Wednesday's second semi-final between Bayer Leverkusen and Fortuna Düsseldorf in the final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on May 25.
It's the eighth time in history that Die Roten Teufel have reached the DFB-Pokal final. They've won the tournament twice.
