Alexander Nübel's contract with Bayern Munich has been extended until 2030, according to Bild.

The report claims that when Manuel Neuer signed a new deal until 2026, a clause was activated that extended Nübel's contract for another year.

Nübel is currently on loan at Stuttgart on a deal that runs until the summer of 2026.

Bayern reportedly have an option to bring him back in the summer, but must activate it before 30 April.

It seems unlikely that the Bavarians will do so, having recently signed promising young goalkeeper Jonas Urbig from FC Köln.

The arrival of 21-year-old Urbig has led to much speculation as to whether Nübel even has a future at Bayern.
