Olmo flirts with move away from Leipzig: Interested clubs "know what to do"

Dani Olmo commented on his release clause, stating that interested clubs "know what to do" if they want to sign him.

RB Leipzig forward Dani Olmo has been in fine form at the European Championship, helping Spain to the final with three goals and two assists.

Olmo's fine form for Spain has only added to speculation that he could be on the move this summer, with the 26-year-old having a €60 million release clause that expires on July 20.

In a recent interview with Spanish outlet El Larguero, Olmo discussed his future and called for interested clubs to trigger the clause before it's too late if they want to sign him.

"My people know what I want to do. I have too much on my plate with the European Championship to think about other things. I have a contract with Lepizig and we have a very good relationship. There will be no problem," Olmo said, adding:

“My clause of €60 million, which runs until July 20? They know what they have to do. If not, they will have to fight a little.”

Olmo has played for Leipzig since January 2020, when he joined the club from Dinamo Zagreb.
