On Thursday afternoon, 25 July, Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that Timothy Chandler has extended his contract at the club.

Chandler, who joined Frankfurt at the age of ten and progressed through all youth teams, has made 199 competitive appearances to date.

His last appearance for the Hessen giants was on Matchday 34 of the most recent Bundesliga season against VfB Stuttgart.

The 36-year-old former USA international has now extended his contract with Frankfurt by a solitary year until summer of 2027.

In addition to his duties as a player, Chandler will gain insights into various areas of the organization at the professional training camp.

“Timmy is an important player and a valuable team member for us in many respects," said SGE sporting director Timmo Hardung.

"He is a role model, especially for our young players, leading by example both on and off the pitch with his attitude and professionalism.

"In the locker room, he brings a wealth of experience, has a positive character, and fully identifies with Eintracht Frankfurt.

“That's why we are very pleased to continue our journey together with him,” the Frankfurt chief concluded.
