Both Deniz Undav and VfB Stuttgart have expressed hopes of extending their cooperation, but it remains unclear whether the striker's loan move from Brighton & Hove Albion will be made permanent.

Speaking to Kicker, Undav reiterated his desire to join Stuttgart on a permanent basis and revealed that he's held talks with new Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler.

"I feel like I've expressed my wish 290 times," Undav said on Friday, referring to his desire to stay in Stuttgart.

"It's a great feeling when the fans are singing your name. I've been trying my best all year to get them to sing my name. That's why I feel so at home in Stuttgart, I like the club, I like the fans, I like the people around me.

“Of course I've already had contact with Fabian [Hürzeler], one phone call. I explained my vision to him, he told me what he thought of me. And now let's see. Of course you talk to your agent here and there, it's clear that things are not going to stay quiet on the market.”

The 27-year-old striker scored 19 goals in 33 games for Stuttgart last season. He's currently representing Germany at Euro 2024.
