France face Sweden in the first of the three all-European Round of 32 ties. The tournament favorites won all three games in Group I, while Sweden went through as one of the best third-placed teams.
FC Bayern's Dayot Upamecano and Michael Olise started all games so far, and they kept their places for the knockout stage in Didier Deschamps’ lineup. Graham Potter trusted Alexander Bernhardsson throughout the group stage, but Holstein Kiel's wingback is now replaced by Borussia Dortmund’s Daniel Svensson.
Eric Smith (St. Pauli) and Mattias Svanberg (Wolfsburg) start on the bench for Sweden.
