Union Berlin increased their points tally to ten with a 3-1 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Danilho Doekhi scored with a header for the ninth time in the Bundesliga before completing his brace inside the first 25 minutes.

"Taking an early lead helps every team,” said Union’s coach Steffen Baumgart after the game. “We played a really good first half, and we kept creating chances. The intensity was also very high overall. We were also good after the break, although it was clear that Gladbach had done more. In the end, we're happy with the win.”

The man-of-the-match was also available for a post-match interview. "It's really nice to be able to celebrate with the fans tonight,” said Dokehi. “A lot of what we wanted has come true, and their enthusiasm has helped a lot.

“Of course, scoring two goals as a defender doesn't happen very often, and I'm happy that it worked out. But we have to move on. There will be another floodlight game (vs. Bremen) next Friday, and we have to keep working on ourselves."
