Eintracht Frankfurt and Can Uzun could part ways this summer.

According to Bild, Uzun is considering a summer exit following the appointment of Albert Riera, who has given the 20-year-old just 12 minutes of playing time across the last two matches.

“He knows what to do with and without the ball. When he gives that to the team – not to me – he will play,” Riera told reporters at the weekend.

“The reason some players didn’t play is that you can be excellent on the ball, but not good enough without it. Under me, you won’t play in that case. I’m very clear about that. I want complete players. They have to fulfil both roles.”

Bild reports that the Spaniard’s comments did not go down well with Uzun, who was “deeply affected” by what was said.

As a result, a summer transfer could be on the cards, with AC Milan named as suitors for the attacking midfielder.

A fee of more than €80 million has previously been mentioned for Uzun, but the report suggests Eintracht would now be willing to sell the youngster for around €40-45 million, given his injury problems in 2026 and the current situation under Riera.
