Eintracht Frankfurt appear to be the most likely destination for wantaway Borussia Mönchengladbach centre-back Ko Itakura, according to Rheinische Post.

Frankfurt reportedly view the 28-year-old Japan international as a potential replacement for Tuta, who is expected to depart this summer.

Itakura has long been linked with a move away from Gladbach and, with just one year remaining on his contract, a transfer seems increasingly likely.

According to Sky Germany, the former Manchester City defender has a release clause in the region of €10-15 million, making him an attractive target.

Since arriving from City in 2022 for a reported €5 million, Itakura has established himself as a key figure at Borussia-Park.
