Bayern Munich have received a boost ahead of a demanding run of fixtures, with Manuel Neuer back to full fitness.

According to Bild, the club captain is in line to make his comeback against Freiburg next week, putting him on track to feature in the Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid.

The 40-year-old has been sidelined for Bayern’s last four matches due to a muscle injury.

Meanwhile, second-choice goalkeeper Jonas Urbig is expected to resume team training in the coming days after withdrawing from the Germany squad with a knee issue.

The 22-year-old could feature in the Bundesliga fixture against St. Pauli on April 11, allowing Neuer a rest between the two legs against Real Madrid.
