Leipziger Volkszeitung first revealed that Nkunku would extend his contract with Leipzig two weeks ago.

It will also include a €60 million release clause, which can be activated from the summer of 2023.

Nkunku has been linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs after a fantastic 2021/22 campaign, which saw him score 35 goals and provide 19 assists in 50 games.
