After watching Dortmund's match over Manchester City, Flick stated, "I particularly liked Mats Hummels." The defender is in "good shape and very, very fit."
On Götze: "He also really has every chance if he continues to show himself in such a way that he is still jumping on the World Cup train."
Flick has selected goalkeepers Manuel Neuer, Marc-André ter Stegen and Kevin Trapp, but is still keeping an eye on both Bernd Leno and Oliver Baumann as potential last-minute options. Former Bochum defender Armel Bella Kotchap is set to be Flick's surprise pick for the World Cup after his impressive start to the season at Southampton.
