Report: Hannover keen to pull €500,000 purchase clause for Bayern's Arrey-Mbi

Lower Saxony's "Neue Presse" reports that Hannover 96 are prepared to pull the trigger on a purchase clause for FC Bayern München defender Bright Arrey-Mbi.
Bright Arrey-Mbi's "new start" in Lower Saxony has, after some time, begun to go successfully. The 19-year-old former Chelsea Academy man and German youth international has finally found regular playing time under Hannover 96 trainer Stefan Leitl. After failing to break into the FC Bayern München first team and a disastrous loan spell at 1. FC Köln, the 19-year-old has started three consecutive matches and garnered rave reviews.

While there remains plenty of time to see whether he can permanently ensconce himself in Leitl's XI, the local "Neue Presse" newspaper reports that "die Roten" definitely wish to utilize the purchase clause in Arrey-Mbi's current loan contract. A story appearing in the paper quotes club H96 boss Martin Kind as saying "We want Bright". Furthermore, the reported purchase amount of €500,000 is said to be considered more than reasonable by club management.

Arrey-Mbi's current estimated market value stands at €800,000, down from a peak of roughly €1.3 million when the player's potential was more auspiciously appraised. There has been some talk that an automatic purchase clause is built into the teenager's current loan deal. He may belong to Hannover no matter what in the event of promotion. Under Leitl, the Lower Saxons are presently in fifth place in the 2. Bundesliga table, two points off the promotion playoff place and four away from certain promotion.
