Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Yvandro Borges Sanches will spend the duration of the season on loan with Dutch Erdevisie outfit NEC Nijmegen. A six-month loan for the 19-year-old was confirmed yesterday. Borges Sanches, despite his young age, has already earned 23 international caps for his native Luxembourg. The youngster nevertheless remains far down in the BMG pecking order.

The youngster has made a total of 8 appearances for the Gladbach senior side. Three of these appearances, all in relief, have come this season. Borges Sanches notched an assist late in match-day one's 4-4 draw with Augsburg. The teenage talent received a new contract with his parent club ahead of the loan-out. BMG sporting director Roland Virkus made clear that he believed him to be a part of the club's future in a statement.

"Yvandro is a young, talented player who has already become a senior international for Luxembourg with us," Virkus noted, "For his further development, however, it is essential that he gains as much match practice as possible at a high level. With his style of play, he will quickly find his feet in the Dutch premier league and thus be able to develop optimally."

"We are delighted that Yvandro has also extended his contract with us until 2026," Virkus continued, "It shows that he sees his future path at Borussia."

"I'm delighted to have extended my contract and I'm looking forward to the loan," Borges Sanches himself added, "My goal is to return to Mönchengladbach in six months' time and to have developed further in Nijmegen."
