Sport Bild reports that Moritz Nicolas will sign a new long-term contract with Gladbach.

Since Gladbach captain Jonas Omlin suffered a long-term injury at the beginning of the season, Moritz Nicolas has proven himself in goal for Die Fohlen.

And the 26-year-old will now be rewarded for his good performances with a new contract until 2029, according to Sport Bild.

Whether Nicolas, who is currently under contract until 2026, will keep his place in goal when Omlin is fully fit is an open question.

Nicolas has made 23 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit this season.
