Goalkeeper: Koen Casteels, Wolfsburg
One of the few goalkeepers to keep a clean sheet on Matchday 1, Casteels kept out Bayer Leverkusen with a number of saves.

Right-back: Peter Pekarik, Hertha BSC
Pekarik has been a regular starter for Hertha BSC since Bruno Labbadia took over as coach towards the end of last season and has kept his place in the line-up for the start of the new season ahead of new signing Deyovaisio Zeefuik. After scoring against Eintracht Braunschweig in the DFB-Pokal, the 33-year-old was on target once more against Werder Bremen, scoring the opener in Hertha's 4-1 win.

Centre-back: Maxence Lacroix, Wolfsburg
The 20-year-old, who has joined Wolfsburg from French Ligue 2 side Sochaux, had a really solid Bundesliga debut as he helped his new side to a clean sheet against Leverkusen, making 10 clearances, four interceptions and winning four duels.

Centre-back: Niklas Süle, Bayern München
Süle won four duels, made three clearances and completed 93 percent of his passes in Bayern's 8-0 victory over Schalke 04.

Left-back: Angelino, RB Leipzig
Energetic as always in his wing-back role, Angelino did well to contribute to the attacking play and nearly scored a goal.

Defensive midfielder: Joshua Kimmich, Bayern München
The German international was extremely dominant in midfield, winning five duels, making two assists and completing 97 percent of his passes.

Right midfielder: Serge Gnabry, Bayern München
As clinical as ever, Gnabry grabbed a hat-trick in Bayern München's 8-0 win.

Attacking midfielder: Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim
After giving Hoffenheim an early lead against FC Köln, Kramaric scored against every time 'The Billy Goats' pulled one back, netting a hat-trick in his side's 3-2 victory.

Attacking midfielder: Giovanni Reyna, Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund have high expectations for 17-year-old Giovanni Reyna, and it's easy to see why. The youngster scored his first Bundesliga goal and won a penalty as BVB beat Gladbach 3-0 in their Bundesliga opener.

Left midfielder: Leroy Sané, Bayern München
The German international has said he's not up to feel speed yet after spending the majority of last season on the sidelines with an injury, but he still gave Schalke plenty of trouble on his Bayern debut, racking up a goal and two assists.

Striker: Erling Haaland, Dortmund
A strong start to the Bundesliga campaign for the highly-rated youngster, who scored from the penalty spot before later clipping the ball over Yann Sommer to make it 3-0.
