Report: Eintracht Frankfurt target former national team standout Amin Younes

ive years have passed since one-time German national team player Amin Younes departed the Bundesliga for Holland. Signs emerge that Fredi Bobic and the SGE wish to bring the left flanker back in the final stages of their push to bring in more attacking wingers before the transfer deadline.
Once upon a time, the now 27-year-old German Amin Younes represented Germany in a major international competition. Bundestrainer Joachim Löw brought him along to Russia as part of the 2017 Confederations Cup squad. His lovely goal in the semi-finals against Mexico would soon be forgotten quicker than Julian Draxler's exceptional work in captaining that tournament's squad.

Following a disappointing 2017/18 campaign for Ajax, Younes departed for S.S.C. Neapel on a free in the summer of 2018. Injuries and roster depth led to him only making 27 appearances over the course of two seasons in the Serie A.

While he may have been sparsely utilized, Younes did still demonstrate a knack for finding the back of the net. He tallied four times in the league.

German footballing magazine Kicker confirms an Italian media report that Frankfurt are working on a loan deal. Younes would likely find immediate playing time for Eintracht after the injury to Filip Kostic and coach Adi Hütter's desperate need for wingers in his current tactical set-up.
