On Tuesday evening, Bild reported that Ralf Rangnick has told Bayern Munich that he's ready to become their new coach after the European Championships.
Asked about negotiations with Rangnick after Tuesday's 2-2 Champions League draw with Real Madrid, Bayern president Herbert Hainer wouldn't go that far, but he did confirm that "good talks" are underway with the Austrian coach.
"We are in good talks with Ralf, but we have to wait a few more days," Hainer told AZ.
"He is an excellent expert on the football scene. If it happens, he's a very good choice."
According to Bild, there are still details to be worked out between Rangnick and Bayern, with talks set to be intensified on Wednesday.
