With one year left on his contract, RB Leipzig captain David Raum has left his future with the Bundesliga club open.

Having been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United, the 28-year-old left-back has postponed any decision on his future until after the World Cup with Germany.

“The club is in contact with my agent,” Raum revealed in an interview with Bild, adding:

“But my focus was on qualifying for the Champions League and is now on the World Cup, for which I am preparing as well as possible. For me, it is currently a priority to play a great tournament.

“After that, we will still have enough time to sit down together and talk things through.”

Raum joined RB Leipzig from TSG Hoffenheim in 2022.
